Viewbook for University Recruitment
SIUE Expect More, is a university viewbook used for undergraduate recruitment for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). This publication provides a "view" into the school and is used to inform and encourage application from potential students.
All photography used in this publication are of actual SIUE students showing examples of college life. These photos along with infographics grab the attention of students and give them a quick glance into the school.
Sustainability initiatives are important to me and the university, so I chose to use an FSC certified matte paper. This publication uses the highest percentages possible of recycled and sustainably harvested fibers and was processed without the use of toxic chemicals.
This publication won an award as part of a undergraduate recruitment package in the 29th Annual Educational Advertising Awards competition. The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country.

My design for this piece was driven by feedback from focus groups of potential students. Their feedback led to my development of infographics and the photography used. Four different covers were designed and published with four diverse students as cover models. Producing the different covers allows potential students to see a student they relate to and shows the diversity within school.
Here is a sampling of infographics I created that are used throughout the publication.
I designed this complimentary envelope. Keeping in mind budget concerns, I chose to use a standard size and no bleeds.
