CUPULA CHAIR

Cupula chair is a product made from waterproof plywood. The legs smoothly transform into a seat,
creating an elegant curve. This unique feature greatly emphasizes the aesthetic of wood.
A composition of different leg sizes at the bottom of the chair creates exciting dynamics.
The product consists of 34 elements. The advantage of Cupula is the ability to disassemble the product and connect, do not need glue or screws. So the customer can assemble the chair at home by himself,
and put the elements together. Thanks to this, the transport of the chair is also simplified.

School of Form x Paged Sklejka
The main idea of the exhibition is to indicate that the designer should learn to treat production
leftovers not as a lost value, but as a resource. Thanks to the cooperation with Paged Sklejka S.A.,
students of the 2nd and 4th years of the School of Form were able to find an answer to the question of
how to increase the value of by-products of the plywood production process. Young designers
had to face the limitations of material and form. A group of 2nd-year students realized the project
of plywood chairs in CNC technology. They managed to create chairs of various looks and shapes,
avoiding glue, screws, etc. The effects of students' struggles with the design were admired
during the 2022 year's edition of TRŁ in EXPO XX.
