CREATIVE CHALLENGE
Know mostly for his science fiction writing, HG Wells also wrote incredible social novels that are still relevant today, covering topics such as the midlife crisis, class, feminism, materialism, consumerism and love.
CREATIVE PROCESS
The quality of material used for the entire cover was a glossy paper. We belive it would enhance the craftmanship which had been done on the cover itself. Selection of the different color tone was to portray and signify the storyline based on the summary of the book. To make it contemporary, not classic or victoriana design, we incoporate simplicity where readers would be able to get the essence of the book just by looking at the “Graphically” coverbook visual, the hand-drawn illustrations which narrates the higlights of the story, and simple and short summary at the back, with a touch of the protagonist icon.
WORK PROCESS
First row photo showcased the side and spine of the bookcover. Second row photo is to show the craftmanship which have been done on the colored paper to produce repetition of shapes and color tones.
