recently I was able to try my hand at some film photography, having stumbled upon my father's old Yashica FX-D Quartz, and some expired film that came with it. 

the film seemed to be heavily damaged, and I only managed to retrieve 7 shots, and these are the ones I like the best.

the pictures themselves don't stand out for perfect technique, but I feel they embody a nostalgic look of a time now gone by. 

overall, I do pretty much enjoy this washed-out, grainy look for these portraits and landscape photos. 

this last one is probably my favorite of the bunch, with the extremely odd and popping colors. the kid walking in the foreground gives the picture a great sense of movement. 

I am definitely looking forward to getting more film developed, and to try and step up my photography game. there will be updates.
