Assignment:
Develop a visoon for the VanGend&Loos Area. This area is part of railway zone Tilburg. The municipality wants to develop the area into a park. We did research, what kind of park would fit the most (based on the neighborhood), what elements are definitely needed in the park and what atmosphere it should have.

'A multifunctional and dynamic urban park'

Tilburg has beautiful natural surroundings, but the city itself has only a few little parks. The development of a new park near the center will be an unique opportunity to give the residents a new 'Third Place'. The park have a terrain in the middle where different kinds of events take place. To earn money there is a place for seasonal catering. It is even possible to have a catering inside a train wagon (the area was originally a classification yard). Besides, some historical elements will get a new function, like the water tower is appropriate for Organised climbing. Sport, child-friendly playground equipment and workplaces are other themes which have a valuable role in the park. These elements will all take place within a park-like appearance.
