The Ouch! Oops! Method (Loyola Academy)
As a student at Loyola Academy, I was approached by a group of student leaders who were implementing a school-sponsored campaign to combat micro-agressions in our school community. It was based on a framework created by the University of Arizona.
One of these student leaders came to me with a sketch that somewhat resembled a "comic book" style, so I took that comic book idea and started researching those characteristic onomatopoetic illustrations, which became the basis for the final design. Below is the initial poster.
After a few modifications, the final poster featured school colors and a slightly altered layout. Below is the final product, which was posted in each classroom. Text by Paige Finley after a University of Arizona Dialogue Guide.
