I decided to make it thin and vertical because it is most commonly used in Chinese Calligraphy. The maze is symbolizing the audience of the exhibition, who are majorly non-Chinese reader. To these audience, reading Chinese is like an image. It's really hard to understand it. The red highlighted character is a Chinese character,意, meaning "meaning", which only Chinese will understand.
