Challenge
The task was to create a vernissage poster themed around the year - 2021.
Insight
The concept of this vernissage poster is to use the act of ripping paper to say goodbye to the past, expressed by the old paper texture. The torn part reveals and welcomes a brand new year. The number “1” is exposed in red, but it is not fully displayed, inviting curiosity. Is it a number or some other letter? It is unclear, just like the future.
Outcome
The tear represents getting rid of the unwanted and starting a new chapter; this reflects my attitude towards 2020 and 2021.
