This typeface graduation project is like my inner
search for self-identification in Iceland.
It is an attempt of a person who was born
and raised with another culture background
to find something familiar and new.
Super accidental display typeface with kinks
in diagonal strokes with huge contrast, sometimes
resembling a dynamic ribbon. The typeface’s
specialties are smooth shapes mixed with
geometric and chopped ones.
The typeface is super distinctive, super experimental,
accidental with a runic touch. Here brutalism with
plastic of Ustav are combined with rigidity
of the Vyaz and the Iceland runic rhythm.
The constructive specialty is in hypertrophied
raised waist in one part of symbols and extremely
lower in the other one. Typeface with a totally
wild spirit.
