Signage - Sanctuary Point Village Precinct

This signage design project was an integral part of a transformation initiative led by Revitalise Sanctuary Point, a dedicated and passionate group of local residents with a vision to breathe new life into the town centre. They secured a  generous grant from the NSW State Government under the 'My Community Project' scheme and were able to implement a range of improvements, including enhanced traffic safety measures, inviting alfresco dining areas, and aesthetic enhancements to the parking facilities.
In response to the client's vision, which sought to capture the laid-back coastal ambiance harmonious with the local tourism brand, I explored a range of solutions. Early in the project, there was interest in incorporating a graphic featuring a vintage wooden boat, capturing the essence of the region's coastal charm, while later refinements from the stakeholders moved toward a simpler, text only design.
The sign construction was executed by the works contractor, with the final signs mounted on merbau timber posts.
Below you'll see a glimpse into the conceptual stages of the project, showcasing initial design concepts explored, along with photographs of the final signage in situ at this charming cluster of shops nestled by the shores of St Georges Basin.
