I was lucky to catch the butterfly’s active on the cherry blossoms that bloom only once a year on Okinawa, Japan. The deep black color of the butterfly contrasts very nicely with the pink flowers and the sky.
Though simple, the elegance of the butterfly on the flower amazes me.
This bee was fascinating to photograph. Despite there being many of them around, this one seemed quite pleased with this sunflower.
This is "Dude". He is not my family’s dog but he seemed to not want to leave. Dude is a Shiba-Inu and is quite friendly. After a while we figured he would just go home to his owner, but that didn’t happen. We were going to have the Japanese housing agency take the dog if he wasn’t going to leave. Luckily we were able to contact a rescue agency for lost pets and he is now up for adoption due to not being claimed by an owner. Happy ending for Dude.
