Project Brief: Choose any author that you might like and create a special edition set of three of his/her novels. All book covers must be done with a similar graphical theme and elements to create unity.
For the covers, I used the most iconic characters of each book: a nurse for “Misery,” a prom queen for “Carrie,” and a clown for “It.” All three characters bring death and despair in their respective plots. The Skull is therefore a natural unifier, here portraying significant characters as death itself. This signals to readers that death may come in different ways or with different features, but a King novel is sure to include this universal element.
