Booklet for the defence of Rights of trans people deprived of their liberty
This project is a product of Laura Pedraza's doctoral research on constructing and expressing the gender identity of trans women deprived of Liberty in men's prisons in Mexico City. One of the objectives was to offer an overview of the obstacles, violence, and situations trans people have to go through to build and express their gender identity during the deprivation of their Liberty.
The booklet offers vital information to defend trans people's rights, in turn, to dimension the rights being violated and generate a proposal to promote a dignified life free of violence based on gender identity in centers of seclusion.
