Soirée Graphique it's an exhibition that collect works from graphic designers, artists and photographers around the world. This exhibition has a great particularity.

Some graphic designers are invited to develop a poster and then all the posters will be re-created by a photographer or a visual artist.

The briefing gave us all the freedom to make whatever we want (and we liked the ideia).

So we decided to explore the particularity of this exhibition. And we picked up a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson, where he says "Cause and effect are two sides of one fact". We quickly related it with the concept behind this exhibition. The cause (the poster) will give an effect (the re-interpretation) and then will give birth to a fact (the awesome Soirée Graphique).

Is the construction and deconstruction, like cause and effect, a way to create something new and visually attractive?

This idea gave us some freedom to play with geometric shapes and typography, distorting and destructing them with the simple aim to create something new and better.
