Statement
I have been influenced by Giorgio Morandi since my childhood. He was enthusiastic about bottles and held the view that ordinary objects in daily life are liable to get rid of redundancy. Therefore, he tried to deny the world we defined theoretically and return to the visual substantial world by rearranging these bottles of simple shapes incessantly. Once, I found the arrangement of beverage bottles on shelves in the supermarket interesting when I was shopping. To these bottles, we look without seeing no matter how many times we are exposed to every day. Morandi’s times has passed for almost half century, so whether the industrial production nowadays could express the spirituality of Morandi? In order to solve my puzzle, I applied Morandi’s format to lay out and color some ordinary beverage bottles.
