Letters for children with learning disability

Recently completed my first ever internship, with a startup called Brainologi. where they came to us (we worked in a team) seeking to get prototypes of their product which is meant to help children with learning disabilities and partial blindness learn alphabets easily.
We started by exploring different materials, researched on child friendly and safe materials while also considering the environmental impact of the product.
The choice of the typeface also really played and important role in understanding of the letter specially for our end user. so we researched and used read regular ( a typeface specially designed for people with learning disability) and Verdana as our choice of fonts.
we started out with laser cutting acrylic to quickly test the design after a couple of iterations we realized the flaw of this design being designed just for right hand dominant people. so we shifted the holders position from right hand side to the center making it easier for both left and right handed people to use it easily.
After that we tried using the CNC machine with the material wood for better quality manufacturing, safety and keeping the environment impact in mind.
so here's what the whole outcome looked like.

The 3 iterated prototypes.
