The brief was to create packaging for premium Norwegian fishcakes. The challenge was to create innovative packaging which made the product stand out on the supermarket shelf. The design needed to reflect the quality of the premium product and its Norwegian identity. My design uses hand printed lettering to give the product a handmade, premium feel. The mountain shape reflects the Norwegian origins of the product. The design on the sides of the packaging is a pattern, which takes influence from traditional patterns created by the Sami people of Norway. This again displays the Norwegian identity of the fishcakes.
