Year 2021
Fronics, a South Korean innovative technology startup holding many patents related to Micro LEDs, approached (acasso) to develop a skincare device that utilizes Micro-LED to help treat a variety of skin concerns such as firming the skin, combating wrinkles, reducing inflammation, preventing breakouts, and regulating oil production. Using Micro-LED combined with FPCB allows the mask to behave similar to a regular flexible face mask and provides a more closely attached fit to the skin than other hard material LED masks, hence offering superior skincare effect. The device is composed of a controller unit and a mask unit. The controller serves as a power source and can display numerical information on the front so that the user can look in the mirror and check the skin temperature and the battery level. Thanks to the open design of the controller, users can read books or use their smartphone while wearing it.
