Stowford Mill Regeneration Master Planning

Public Perception on Stowford Mill
The site footprint is divided into three distinct parts, namely Ragloft, the Leat and the Farm.
Site Narrative
"A vast, unobstructed, open area; with uneven wooden floorboards covering the entire deck, floorboards that creak beneath my feet, as every one of my steps echoes; the sound bouncing off the aged brickwork of the walls revealing itself as the plaster starts peeling of the elevations. The space feels very cold and forgotten, with every aspect of the room still bearing the scars caused by previous use."
" A  narrow green route guides you upwards, climbing higher and higher till you are way above the roofs of the mill. Expansive views of the green land surrounding Ivybridge can be seen. The mill was powered by the River Erme during the industrial revolution. Despite isolated from the rest of the site, this place carries significance importance to the mill."
"Overgrown vegetation from each side slowly reveals the fast flowing river. The sound of moving water becomes the only noise that runs through the empty grounds of the formal farm yard. Deep shadows of the trees sheltered by thich walls from each side , the viaduct guides your eyes upwards towards the sky. the entirety of this magnificient structure is captured. "
