Initial state:

The canvas had a lot of tears and holes. Paint surface had various relief craquelure over entire perimeter. Oil paint was cracked and areas of paint were lifted over the canvas. The painting was never varnished but was covered with a heavy layer of dirt and grime.

Done:

The back side of weakened original was cleaned of dirt, tears and holes fixed, canvas lined. Paint surface was consolidated and cleaned. The painting has been varnished and retouched.
