Book Cover and Typography
Drawing from the characteristics of the reluctant protagonist, I created an illustration showing the large, powerful android bearing a mouth set to convey his annoyance. The name tag hints at the humor in the book and adds to the impression that the android is self-aware. Layering textures creates a look of worn metal, mimicking the android's body armor. The chapter number and drop cap were created to mimic circuit boards that might be found in the main character. I enjoyed creating the cover and designing the typography for this entertaining book.
