Exploring spirtual and floral aesthetics - something seemingly peaceful and calming and creating an entirely anxious mood. There is a two conflicting moods occuring in each portrait.
The first photo is a projection of Raqid Shaw's painting - I think there's a sense of melanchology; something's not quite right, but is should be.
Through projections, can I perhaps make something completely abstracted and obscured? This photograph is rather dreamlike, and is a blurred projection on a face. How can I use the lens to manipulate form, texture and colour to create a certain mood. Could this become part of a painting?
The colours are almost hypnotic, surreal - as if you're caught in a vivid dream.
