The Horned God: a Portrait, is based on the main male deity found in many modern Neo-pagan religions such as Wicca. The horned god predates these modern religions, seen in the included painting in the piece: The Witches Sabbat by Goya, which was painted in 1789. Goya's painting in the collage, also represents the discrimination that other religious practices outside of Christianity faced (and still face) in Western nations.
The collage represents main defining aspects of the Horned God. These include: light and fertility, from the sun. Nature and the wilderness, in the forest and grasslands photos used. Dualty, being a god of life and death as well as the equal opposite to the goddess. theriocephalic, his animal nature represented through antlers.
