FIJI MUSEUM - INTERNS EXHIBITION PROJECT

THE EXHIBITION
At the end of my internship at the Fiji Museum, my team and I were tasked to deliver an exhibition focusing on our journey as Interns at the Fiji Museum. Since I have a Graphic Design background, I took on the responsibility to come up with creative designs for this Project. I was tasked to design a Logo together with a design theme for the exhibition. I really enjoyed working on this project as it brought out the creativity in me. A big vinaka vakalevu to my team for all their hard work and perseverance to make this Exhibition a special one. I couldn't have done it without them.

THE SALUSALU
The ‘salusalu’ acts as a metaphorical framework on how we have weaved ourselves as interns into our work at the Fiji Museum and how we are championing youth involvement as part of the Urban Pathways work placement program.

The completion of a salusalu requires every part to be in-tact, the same goes for us.
To achieve a common goal, there needs to be a collective and renewed effort. The use of fresh flowers also denotes new innovative ideas, avenues, will power to continue and move the museum forward and not remain in the ‘traditional’ space thought as a static institution.

Special thanks to the Fiji Museum Board of Trustees, Mr.Sipiriano Nemani (Director Fiji Museum), Dr.Katrina Igglesden, Dr.Karen Jacobs, Fiji Museum Management and Staff and the Fiji Museum Interns. I cannot thank everyone enough for their love and support towards my team and I during this Exhibition and Careers Fair which took place on the 28th and 29th of May.

I really enjoyed my journey at the Fiji Museum. I cant say that I've learnt everything about the Museum, but I have learnt something and I will take that with me wherever I go.

With another chapter of my life ending, I cannot wait to see what the Lord has in place for me next, but I know its going to be something really special.
