“My path to be an Illustrator and Graphic Designer”

The path I have traveled to become an Illustrator and Graphic Designer has been long, and with some detours.    My youth was spent with a crayon, pencil, or pen in my hand drawing everything.  I took art classes in junior high and would doodle in the margins of my notebooks in other classes.  I was always encouraged, and told thatI should continue to pursue art classes. When I started high school things started to go a different direction.

In high school I was discouraged from taking art classes.  I was told it was a bad career choice, so I learned AutoCad.  I worked hard and became a drafter/designer.  I have worked for engineers andarchitect for almost 20 years.  With the poor economy I decided to return to school to become a Illustrator andGraphic Designer.  I know I will do well with this new career choice because I am doing something that I have always enjoyed doing.  I also have many life experiences to draw upon.

I am looking forward to this new life change.  Thank you for reading this.

I painted the bunny for my son who is going through a zombie phase.  It kind of reminded me of Peter Rabbit, so I thought,  what would happen if Mr. McGregor ever did catch Peter.  So, I came up with a book cover.
A page for a child's alphabet book.
Editorial Illustration for the phobia of being buried alive.
Mock up album cover design for my cousins band.
This is a deck of cards that give information in 3 different languages of important things you might want to know when traveling or living in Norway.
Mock up for a promotional package design for bands of the 80's.
Designs for a restaurant.
This was a design created for a Boy Scout troop to have matching shirts while on a week long backpacking trip in New Mexico.
Design submission for a cycling jersey.
A little bit of everthing.
