In this project we were asked to create a virtual concept for Glastonbury festival.
Glastonbury is five-day festival of contemporary performing arts which has been taken place in Pilton, Somerset, England since 1970. In the first part of the project, we were asked to produce a digital invitation intended for artists who want to perform at the new platform festival.
Concept
Inspired by the festival's values we decided that the virtual concept of the festival will be a global five-day road trip experience. The festival visitors connect to an app and choose their fields of interest, they can go on the road trip with friends from home or meet other people in their area with common interests, then they use the app's navigation feature to drive to secret locations, each with a live performance.
Visual Language
The language includes organic forms, patterns, and psychedelic fonts inspired by the ethos of the hippies and the counterculture of the 1960’s. The entire invitation simulates the road trip experience, each page is different in its appearance as a new location
