In this work, I created a timeline for the history of graphic design that emphasises the cornerstone art movements and historical developments.
As the history does not progress linear, I created a non-linear layout that depicts the repeats and accumulation. Black parts on sides explains the biggest developments influenced that movements in art and design.
To create a minimalistic poster, instead of using real visual works to exemplify movements, I used different typefaces that reminds the movements. For some movements, I also created different layouts as in De Stijl, Futurism, Dada, Abstract Expressionism and The New York School.
