I did some pieces for this years 27PM expo here in El Salavador. I was so happy that my illustration was selected and presented. This year's theme was MAQUINARIA. We were supposed to create robots that usea one of three life energies (fire, earth or water) to function. At the beginning i started making a series of robots but later decided that i wanted something more epic and with much more story.

 

i made this robot thinking about its function, it has huge arms so as to create earthquakes by slaming on to the floor.

 

 

This were made to try some Big Slam poses, thinking about the ways it could fight and attack

I starting playing with the idea of a portal. I wanted to create some contrast between the place where the portal is and the place where it leads. At the end i chose a desert to create some dramatic effect, while the portal lets ypu travel to a huge forest yuxtaposing the two of them.
