VR - Reality Guardian
This Character is created as an interactive virtual guide to display natural areas affected by the current standards of consumerism and to create awareness through a vivid experience of a place where we cannot visit in our daily basis.
The guide is a communicator, its mission is to create awareness of the main problems that society is facing in the real world while human race seems to be getting immersed more and more every day in the digital realms. This guardian attempts to protect the actual reality where we live.
The guide was designed as a double faced creature that can look wise and scary at the same time. A fake creature that tells the truth in a fake (virtual) world, basing the real facts on the sustainable development goals proposed by the UNITED NATIONS. It was inspired by Chinese temple guardians(front), high tech devices (sides/back), the concepts of cause and effect, and the idea of being able to see the whole spectrum, “the big picture”.
