BRIEF Tourists coming to Ireland often say that even though most people are fluent English speakers, they find us hard to understand.
GOAL To help integrate visitors into our environment and teach them the art of our conversation. The content was written entirely by myself with extracts in German in a bid to give German tourists a greater understanding of the beauty of old Irish phrases. The book was written with a humorous tone with each chapter featuring pull outs explaining pronunciation and syntax.
OUTCOME The book attained a first class honours and I was awarded first place in the Irish section of the ISTD.
