GENERATIVE PIXELS

Generative Pixels is a project of a digital kinetic work programmed in the Processing. A square appears in the changing images, it moves over the designated area and reflects from the edge of the format in a random direction at a constant 45-degree angle. The square changes its size, the density of the division into black and white pixels and their mutual proportions randomly, but in strictly defined ranges depending on the parameters set. There is a "trace" in the pictures - the overwriting of the previous state of the square. The background density of the images, the aspect ratio of black and white pixels, and the initial square position are also random. The project presents three different variants of the same project simultaneously generated in real time. The differences in their appearance depend only on the different ranges of parameters entered in the code.

Projection was part of "Obrazy Światła" Exhibition at Light Move Festival 2021 in Łódź.

Project realized in the Digital Image Studio of the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź.
Under the supervisor Lesław Miśkiewicz and Krzysztof Guzek.
