last year i took @arucelli 's class and finally finished my design, highly recommend the class. I am generally happy with the design, it fell short on some aspects.
The first step was creating silhouettes, as many as we can and exploring different shapes, every time improving on the design.
After choosing a shape, we start with sketching and trying to make a costume design that fit the character, also by trying different ideas.
After coming up with a costume that we’re happy with, it's time for choosing colours, making sure that the shapes are easy to read, and have good contrasting colours.
Lastly, it's done, just creating turnarounds and some poses, to make the character feel more alive, personally, this is my favourite part. So have fun exploring.
