Root & Bloom is a holistic health clinic based in Longmont, Colorado that offers acupuncture, herbal medicine, holistic skin care and nutritional advice. They believe that when the body is given the right amount of water, food and proper nutrients, sunlight, the right environment and proper care – the body has a profound ability to heal itself. The name Root & Bloom, conveys the purpose and overall meaning of the business. In Chinese Medicine, you treat the root cause of the disease in order for the patient to heal and bloom into the best version of themselves. I loved the meaning and story behind the name and couldn't wait to begin the research and design process.
I wanted to make sure that the Root & Bloom identity conveyed a sense of sophistication, holisticness, elegance, modernity, beauty, and health. I also knew that I wanted the mark to be a silhouette that had functionality and was able to work in one and two colors on a variety of backgrounds and at very small scale.
