PENROSE TRIANGLE
What started off as a simple 2-week render challenge on Instagram, swung open doors for us to explore the possibilities of visualizing a seemingly simple shape through diverse lenses. The Penrose Triangle, also known as the Impossible Tribar, is often described as an endless flow in its purest form. It inspired us to imagine the simple 3D shape as an analog product as well as digital media, tangible objects as well as abstract entities, environments of relaxation, recreation as well as intense concentration - yet all having Infinity as their core emotion.

01 / SEATING
Penrose seating invites people around to take a break from their never-ending loop of mundane life. Rails running along the surface are used to position and fasten modular units. Infinite possibilities are a recipe for a space of relaxation that can be reshaped as per taste and need. The anatomy of seating of such high versatility is nothing but a simple 2-profile sweep with guidelines adjusted perfectly to give Penrose its iconic shape of illusion.
BEHIND THE SCENES
02 / GALLERY
Time for a dive into the versatility of the Penrose seating, this time at the hub of infinite contemplation and inspiration. A gallery is not only the center for the manifestation of creativity of free thinkers but also the vista for a curious audience. Hence, it is paramount to envision a place that does justice to how the art is displayed and how it is observed as well. The Penrose Bench, no less than a piece of art by itself, truly complements this temple of visual imagination and expression. This minimal form of seating provides freedom of accommodation and breathing space that art lovers look for while immersing themselves in the art around them with undivided attention.
03 / DIGITAL
Form of a product is merely a coalescence of lines and shapes, that makes the best sense - appearance and utility-wise. Beyond the conventional product design process that necessarily ends with a physical manufacturable object, there come moments when the subject of creation offers opportunities to view itself from a metaphysical perspective.
Just like the infinite loop, visual exploration with patterns, backgrounds, colours and texture, knows no bounds in the digital realm.
