Books Still?
This project re-imagines and typographically interprets the original text of the novel The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald in 1925 in response to the ISTD 2013 brief, Books Still? The popularity of e-books and kindles has risen and downloadable books have become more convenient for the avid reader. However, the physicality of a printed book, holding it and turning its pages is a pleasure that should not be discarded too lightly. At a time when the public demand information fast and concisely, we, as designers, have to re-invent the reading experience. This project was awarded a pass in the ISTD Awards.
