Student brief to design three illustrated book covers from the Penguin book range. The book covers needed to look part of a larger series but also stand solidly on their own. I was influenced by illustrator Iain Macarthur’s work for this project. I focused on key elements from each story and then integrated those elements into one larger image. I believe these illustrations are successful in creating intrigue for the reader. The illustrations and typography were completed in pen and ink only.
