Coroa Imperial 2014

Illustrations based on the costumes developed at Labsol - Laboratory for Solidarity Design - for Coroa Imperial, a samba school from Bauru, São Paulo, Brazil. We at Labsol developed the costumes from scratch, based on few directions dictated by the 2014 samba-enredo: "Between Icarus and the Moon, the Dreams!".

All the costumes were made mostly of recycled materials from past parades of Coroa Imperial, and the illustrations I've made are for the final artbook, used by the judges to rate the school during the carnival parade.

The style of the illustrations is based directly in the last artist's drawings for the school. We didn't wanted to astray too far from the already established standards. It's very loose and appeals to the movement rather than realism.
