The point of this assignment was to visualize our future identity as a graphic designer. We had to research about major graphic design movements such as Russian Constructivism, Bauhaus, Dadaism, Futurism, Suprematism etc. then choose the one that represents our identity and viewpoint as a designer.

 

I chose the Russian Constructivism to reflect my identity. Since, there were many artists followed the movement, Alexander Rodchenko was an inspiring artist for my idea who focused on many different fields of art such as photography, sculptor and graphic design. My strong way of creating geometric composition, that combined with Rodchenko's characteristics photography techniques, unusual perspective, depth, and use of acute camera angles.

 

The forward-facing images on the background are depicts my past, present and future which combined with the typography and geometric shapes also connect to the future. Connected red shape from left to the computer depicts information, then processing, envisioning, and preparing for the next step, which is the envisioned future as a graphic designer.
