The PSI-Table is an interactive architectural model for the new linear accelerator of the particle physics institute "Paul Scherrer Institut" in Switzerland. The model shows the purpose as well as the mode of operation of the linear accelerator "Swiss FEL" (free electron laser).
On the pressing of a button the model opens up automatically and shows the inside of the laser where the whole proecess is simulated with an array of LED's.
On the main models sides are a few interactive stations with deeper explenations as well as live-cameras of the building lot.
