Landscapes around us are constantly shifting and disappearing due to human interventions. While change is an everlasting process, documenting the evolution of spaces which are planned for modernization and gentrification provides a slice of this evolution . A district in the outskirts of Prague has been selected by the Prague Institute of Planning and Development to re-brand as a pre-urban park; with the objective of enabling harmony with nature. The chosen medium of portrayal of the land’scapes as it exists today is a camera obscura constructed from discarded cardboard sheets found from the same area; symbolizing the elements in nature which would be discarded to make way for the newly constructed facade. Panoramic views which depict the melancholy mood of an area which is marked for an “upgrade” on paper. Expired and faulty films as used which engrave the numbers from film casing indicating a countdown we have imposed on nature.
