THE SKINNY
+ Choose a peer and follow/document what they do for an entire day (24 hours).
+ After observing peer, what one product could make their life better?
+ Based on research create a product & packaging of product that betters their life.

PRODUCT
+ The product you make can be very imaginative. It could also be very real.
Really think about how your peer’s life could be improved by this one item.
If they are always late how can you fix that? If they are always tired, again how can you fix that? Hungry? Lazy?
+ As designers we are not decorators. We are creative problem solvers. How can you better your audience’s life?

PACKAGING
+ Often times the way a product is packaged is more important to consumers than the actually product it’s self.
This being a packaging assignment, the packaging of said product is our main issue. You may in fact not even have a real product at all but merely the packaging of it. Based on research what is the best way to showcase your product and your peer’s/consumers overall values.

+ Mission Statement: To provide therapy that helps cure the most foul language through controversial design.
+ The product is a book with daily lessons to help cure unhealthy habits. Examples are cursing, getting angry, and losing your temper.
+ The packaging holds the book in place.
+ The packaging can be hung on a wall or placed on a shelf for display.
MAP MAKING
+ Create a map that visualizes the problem space and communicates what you documented. Show relationships between the data and where your audience’s problem resides. See Nathan Shedroff’s reading on ways of organizing data as well as our blog for examples. This map could be a timeline, vin diagram, pie charts etc.

+ The infographic shows replacement phrases for curse words and explanations of why those words are being said.
