Did you notice the hottest new Didone in town? That' right, we're talking about Port Vintage by the dopest Onrepeat Studio!

Featuring, promoting, and supporting this diamond-filled studio, João Oliveira asked us to design a poster using Port Vintage on a context.
Well, we did.
On we went towards an experimental editorial usage of this amazing display font: vintage? Sure! 19'th century? Sure! Throw in the Futurist Manifesto by Marinetti and you have a Royal!
As we've seen illustrations that had already been done, we found relevant to switch the background context completely and demonstrate how it can work inserted in an editorial realm with other text sources and with an experimental feel as a poster for literature.
Based on the prolific Didone environment in which the font got it's vintage feel, the Royal went on to hunt: instead of following the idea of the revival times, we followed the violent reforms of the beginning of the 20th century.
As such, and in an editorial context, we grabbed Marinetti's Futurist Manifesto and turned our revolution spinning wheel on, however carefully, in order not to manipulate the shapes of the letters, which are new, tender and of pure genious!

What do you say, the letterforms are sublime!
