Yoyoi No Yoi

These works were created and exhibited for the group exhibition "Coffee and Beer Lovers," which was held at a gallery in Chiba, Japan, from June to July 2022.良酔ノ宵 means I'm feeling drunk tonight.I painted four pieces related to beer and getting drunk.

「Beer and smoked octopus set / ちょい呑みセット」

Weizen and smoked octopus.It is studded with elements I like, such as fictitious beer labels and forks made of brass.

「After Five / アフターファイブ」

It represents finishing work at 5 o'clock and pouring drinks.The moon in the sky represents evening.This beer was inspired by a stout.

「Yoyoi No Yoi（Because of his drunkenness, his true identity is revealed.） / よよいのよい」

In Japan, it has been said since ancient times that raccoon dogs can transform into people.They are dancing because they are drunk and having fun, but because they are relaxed, their true identities are being revealed.

「I can't drink anymore. / もうNo men」

Nomen means "Noh mask" and "can't drink" and is a pun.I drew this image of a Noh mask in a drunken state.Some are tipsy, some are pleasantly asleep, and some are laughing happily.The person in the lower left corner has gotten badly drunk and is holding back the urge to vomit.
