Bricks - Modular Phone Project

"Electronic devices are not designed to last" - Build your own phone (from Phoneblocks).
Bricks is our contribution to the current initiative to develop a phone that can be configured for each user, with the particularity of a different coupling system, inspired by construction blocks.
Each module is a block that gives the user the perfect and individual experience on a personal device.
Project Bricks - Modular phone.
Bricks screen configuration: Capacitive Screen and Single Screen + QWERTY can be easily adapted depending user preferences.
With endless setup modes, users can assemble the perfect device for every situation, going from a 3,8" single screen and a QWERTY keyboard to a 5" full hd touchscreen.
Although there is a basic configuration, each module is independent and can be dispensable, blocks were designed as peripheral. The main board contains all the vital elements that are necessary for ideal operation, including a standard processor.
___ Setting details ___
A single block is a multiple of other, can be scaled depending on the configuration of each module. The main board supports up to 12 single modules depending of its configuration.
Detail: Single Module (Camera Module Pins)
Detail: Side-pieces, plus giving structure protects the junction between the main board and modules from both sides.
Detail:
Top Cover (Right): Contains some sensors that are essential in the use of the device is fixed to the structure and has communication with the main board.
Bottom cover (Left): Locks the device after setup, the click system allows user to easily deploy and configure blocks.
Detail: Pins in the Main board. Blocks and Sides are attached to the main board, and slide along the rails to lock device's setup.
A Little loop to show the assembly process.
Works for both front (Screen, Keyboard) and back (Battery, Camera, Speaker Modules, etc.)
___ Alternative Modules ___
Using nowadays tools, Brick possibilities are endless. People can create and customize their own modules, below is an example of a HD Camera Module. A different side piece, this one contains a slot for a tripod (3d printed?). A Bricks' setup for a reporter, perhaps.
Alternative Blocks - Tripod adapter side-piece.
Alternative Blocks - A Fingerprint scanner (purple) and a LED lamp (black) attached to the Bricks phone.
This project is in Development.
