The client wanted an illustrated personal logo. They had a few requests; they wanted it to incorporate the number 5, they wanted it to feature cypress vines and their flowers, and they wanted it to have threefold symmetry. They acknowledged that the number 5 is difficult to achieve with threefold symmetry, and suggested a mutated middle flower that has two dots instead of one or three. This project had actually been previously worked on by another designer who had to drop it due to personal reasons, so I was able to use the general basis of their design as the launching point for my own. They wanted significantly less detailed flowers and a more polished look, and after workshopping the idea of the mutated middle flower and an overlapping flower design, this was the result. The final logo is technically not threefold symmetrical, due to the middle flower's two circles, however I think it fakes it pretty well at first glance!
