Ebru samples using different styles. 

 

One of these styles is the akase ebru which means stenciled ebru. A stencil is glued to an already dried and flattened ebru sheet to create a new design. The sheet is then placed on top of the kitre with the fresh pigment. Immediate after removing the sheet from the kitre, the stencil is carefully peeled to reveal the beautiful design, such as the hores.
