Let’s enjoy Québec City while they cant

With Canada’s borders still closed to the many international travellers who usually visit the Québec City area in the summer, Destination Québec cité (formerly Québec City Tourism) is instead inviting all Quebecers to visit, in a local tourism campaign driven by documentary content.

Sometimes, we need to take a step back so we can appreciate the treasures in our own backyard or see a city in a whole new light. That’s why we invited locals to see Québec City through the eyes of tourists.

Shot remotely amidst the spring 2021 pandemic restrictions in 8 locations around the world, notably Mexico, South Korea and France, our video features testimonies from people who had to cancel their plans to visit the city this year. Disappointed travellers speak up on behalf of would-be visitors from all over the world and encourage Quebecers to enjoy, on their behalf, all the beauty, food, attractions, activities, vast outdoor playgrounds and historical sites so conveniently close by.
