Re-Branding & Packaging
Artist Statement
When approaching a new project, I create work that has a set objective, and when working on a redesign I like to create work that is familiar–but surprising to the audience. The work for this show involved identifying and re-designing graphics and packaging for six products. I felt the design of these items could more appropriately feature the product advantages and enhance key messages for greater visual impact and better engagement of customers.

The packaging designed for this project includes Wegman's shopping bag; Wegmans Colombian coffee container; Hazlitt Winery’s White and Red Cat wine labels; and small and large shopping bags from Tommy Hilfiger.

All packaging redesign took place during the Spring 2022 semester in an Independent Study for Advanced Branding and Packaging. Reconsidering and redesigning these products has helped me to discover the many nuances involved in package design and has enhanced my growth as a graphic designer.

For this project, I created dielines/proofs for each redesign and also created physical 3-D mock-ups of each product to full scale.
