Self Identity design - Business card

Self Identity design - Business card

Objectives : To design a business card represents myself that have two different interests in fields of design.
Key words : identity/ interest / textile design / graphic design/
I see both the realm of graphic design and textile design shape my artistic ego, while enriching my philosophy of art and design. There also are distinctive marks of two different realms of design on me; two dots. I’ve
been keep trying to connect those two dots; It is because I want to make myself a versatile designer while relating those two parts of me.
I found my business card represents myself through just simple sheet of paper. In the middle of the card, there are two tiny holes aligned horizontally and a loose hoop of red thread goes through the holes. Both on front and back, the thread works as a 3D design element and representation of textile design.
Business card design, archival print on paper, 3.6 x 2 inch
Usage and variation
I designed the front as a representation of myself as a graphic designer with simple typeface.
The back symbolizes textile design, as I put two eyes above the red thread so that the red thread
works as a mouth so the whole thing looks like a facial expression as the shape of the thread
changes. This variation shows that my ego is always changing in an interesting way.
