BURNOUT MATCHBOX
Burnout Matchbox is an editorial illustration made to accompany the BuzzFeed article "How Millennials Became The Burnout Generation" by Anne Helen Peterson. The abundance of matches that are overflowing out of the matchbox show how many tasks are on young adults' plates and the melting candle shows how overwhelmed and burnt out they feel. I included a vintage matchbox design to include an antique scale with LIFE and WORK on either side because there is a constant struggle of work/life balance among most Millennials.
